Trailheads are approximately 64 KM from down town St. John's.

Path Description: This rigorous hike starts at La Manche Village and proceeds south up and down wooded hills to the southern border of La Manche Provincial Park, with lovely coastal viewpoints, and high cliffs, including the dominant headlands of Cape Neddick and Flamber Head. Seabirds and whale watching. Most of the path is wooded, many small streams; there is a primitive campsite.
Attractions: The resettled former village of La Manche.
50 metre suspension bridge at La Manche Provincial Park, lovely waterfall at the Keys, spectacular geology, Roaring Cove provides a grand spot to camp.
Trailhead North
(directions):
LA MANCHE: Drive Route 10 to La Manche. Limited parking is available at the end of La Manche Road. Unlimited parking is available in the day-use area of the park for a small fee.
Parking & walking directions to Trailhead North: If parking at the end of La Manche Road, follow the "Trail" sign and walk the park's access trail (1.3 km) to the site of the former village of La Manche, and the East Coast Trail (south of the suspension bridge)

Trailhead South
(directions):
BRIGUS SOUTH: Travel Route 10. Look for turn-off to Brigus South just before Highway 10 makes a sharp swing around Island Pond and enters Cape Broyle. Follow the Brigus South access road 2 km into community, turning left at the small harbour.
Parking & walking directions to Trailhead South: There is a small posted ECTA parking area on the north side of Brigus South close to the Trailhead.

Current Path status: Good condition. Path visible and passable with a few blowdown that are easy to get around, May 2016

Community Facilities: Roaring Cove Campsite on this path. No reservations. Primitive outdoor toilet.
